The Bay Horse built in 1894 and situated on Marygate, an oasis of quiet in Yorkshires capital city. With near neighbours of the Museum Gardens and the River Ouse you are truly in the centre of York. The pub is a pleasant 10 minute stroll from the station, we have ample pay and display parking to the rear and on street shorter term parking to the front.
We have the perfect venue for your party, wedding, business meeting or private dining experience in the Marygate function room on the first floor. It has the benefit of being private, its own washroom facilities and can be decorated to your taste. It can seat up to to 60 diners and is a very atmospheric room.

Very Central & Quiet. It was minutes from the centre of York by a lovely walk through the Museum Gardens. It was also adjacent to the river with easy access to the Rail Station and the Railway a museum by a foot bridge. We would definetly return.
